Restructuring of the fleet of passenger cars and commercial vehicles

Since 1966, Groupe Egli has been bringing color and structure to public and private spaces. Groupe Egli covers the entire spectrum of plastering, painting, drywall, and facade work -from conventional plastering to complex wall, ceiling, and facade systems, fire protection, and optimal acoustic solutions, as well as decorative painting and plastering techniques.

To ensure reliable, high-quality services, Groupe Egli currently operates a fleet of approximately 200 vehicles, most of which were purchased outright. Only a small portion is operated under a full-service lease.

Vehicle Fleet in the Project: Passenger Cars and Commercial Vehicles

Result: Request for Proposals and Restructuring of the Vehicle Fleet

„The project was carried out in a highly professional and efficient manner and proved to be extremely cost-effective.“

Groupe Egli had decided to gradually transition its entire vehicle fleet from an owned fleet to a leased fleet. Since the company lacked in-house expertise in leasing, it decided to carry out the transition through a competitive bidding process in collaboration with procorp GmbH. Bernhard Danz, CFO, comments: “procorp was recommended to us as the expert in the vehicle leasing market. Fortunately, as we can now confirm in hindsight.”

Phased partial tender for passenger cars and commercial vehicles with interior fittings

“procorp quickly showed us that a phased approach made sense in our case. We had already ordered certain vehicles, and the only remaining step was to select the right leasing partner,” said Danz at the start of the project.

Ultimately, four partial tenders were conducted to find the right partners for both passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. In addition, the interior fittings for the commercial vehicles were put out to tender at the same time.

At the same time, various brand representatives and, subsequently, various leasing companies were contacted. The procorp software used for the tenders was extremely helpful in this complex project. “From a cost-effectiveness perspective, the goal from the very beginning was to have two leasing providers as partners whenever possible, in order to keep competition alive at all times,” says Danz.

RESULT

“We are extremely satisfied with the results. On the one hand, we were able to offer our employees a selection of new brands and models, and on the other hand, we achieved significant cost savings. And thanks to the competition between two leasing providers, we have already reaped financial benefits,” says Danz enthusiastically.

“We, too, can recommend procorp at any time. Their high level of professionalism, expertise, market knowledge, and efficiency in handling the various tenders were and remain outstanding. We have found our partner for fleet procurement.”
