“Another repair! Does it have to be?” – who doesn’t know this situation? Vehicle repairs and maintenance add up to quite a bit of money – for conventional diesel vehicles, this cost block accounts for an average of 15% of the total TCO costs.

But it’s not just the money, repairs and maintenance of fleet vehicles also mean extra time expenditure: reporting the case, handing in the vehicle, organizing a replacement vehicle, changing the vehicle again after the repair. All this could be saved!

Lower costs and less effort during the service life

The tender results that we have determined in recent months now show it clearly: the costs for maintenance and repair in company fleets are in some cases significantly lower for electric vehicles than for conventional combustion vehicles.

In principle, this is not surprising, as it is generally known that wear and tear is significantly higher for combustion engines than for electric vehicles.

But how is this actually the case? And what do the different repair and maintenance costs mean when you consider the entire lifetime of a vehicle? With the procorp fleet procurement software, the differences in offers can be shown concretely when comparing two mid-range vehicles (BEV vs. diesel). This monthly amount has a noticeable impact on the TCO of the vehicles.

BEV vs Diesel

Regardless of the annual mileage, the repair and maintenance costs of an average diesel fleet vehicle are a good 3 to 4 times as much as those for an electric vehicle.

This is how you can save!

With our tender software procorp fleet procurement, we can show you the cost differences between electric vehicles and combustion engines and what you should pay attention to in tenders and negotiations.
